Gran Malbec
This wine owes its name to black soil at the foot of the Andean mountains, in contrast to the white snow on their peaks. As our vineyards are at the foot of the Andes, we are in ‘Pieda negra’.

The harvest data is set based on flavour analyses, and is generally in late April. Maceration lasting more than seven weeks in total. Malolactic fermentation in barrels then maturation for three months in the same barrels. 15 months of maturation in French oak barrels (225 litres) with regular racking (50% new barrels, 50% second-fill barrels).
Deep, intense ruby colour. Balsamic and floral notes. The plum aromas characteristic of ripe Malbec shine through. Powerful in the attack. The oaky notes mingle with black fruit to add huge complexity to the blend. Beautiful acidity supports the wine on the palate right through to the lingering balsamic finish.
